I Finished my International Baccalaureate Chinese Exam last week on the 4th of November (Just like JC people who finished on 30th of October). Hopefully I will never need to take Chinese for the rest of my life. At least a 6/7(where 1 is the lowest, 6 is very-good and 7 the highest/Excellent). If not I’ve got to repeat again next year again. But I can say that it is kind of a blessing in disguise to take IB where the Chinese is below the O levels standard I had last year. And comparing it to the A level Chinese which I had experience in JC at the beginning of the year, it’s way way way way much easier.

Got back all my exams scripts and End Of the Year Reports. I’m not going to say what I have gotten. All I am going is to say is that it is average/middle, just below my target for the year by 1 point. Haiz! 24 points to get promoted (24 is the minimum to get your diploma after the 2 years), 45 points the highest. And of course I exceeded the 24 points.

But I am PROUD to say that I cleared my first year and survive half the journey of the IB diploma programme when I am not even suppose to take it nor did I want to take it. :D I am neither the lazy but smart kind nor the diligent and smart kind. But rather the diligent but not smart kind. SO SAD!!!

No Matter what, I give thanks to the Lord who has guided and done everything for me.

Group4 Science Project:

If you haven’t read my older posts, Group4 science Project is a project where students are randomly group across the whole level. The groups basically comes our with their own experiment plan/hypothesis…just like spa skill 3. In this project, students are marked on their personal skills, e.g teamwork, etc which will carry a certain percentage in our final IB science grade.

The journey started way back in June and was done on Wednesday with a final judgment and presentation at the school’s science fair’08. My group’s research question/hypothesis is on how different soil moisture will affect the rate of decomposition. Got our hands all dirtied with all those stinky soil. Come the science fair and when we were asked questions by the teachers, it was horrible, we couldn’t answer the questions. To further worsen the situation, the sound coming from some science performance on stage was going boom boom boom, we can’t even hear what the freaking teacher was saying. We were not prepared for the questions nor were we at that university level of understanding. For example, name that specific bacteria. Furthermore, THAT WOMAN was like laughing/giggling to herself and at us.SHE THINKS SHE”S SO SMART. HELLO! I DON”T EVEN TAKE BIOLOGY. SHE DOESN’T HAVE TO TEST HER KNOWLEDGE ON OTHERS.  After the teachers like, I really felt like killing that biatch (OOPS!!!)and pushing every thing off the table. I thought we were going to be mark down real badly. But after the whole event, heard from a friend who experience the same fate as us that what the teachers had judged was for the best experiment, so that the best one could go up on stage and collect some prize. And that our personal skills was marked throughout the journey and not the fair. Really hope that that’s the case.

Speech night: Last day of School. Stuck by the side gate waiting to usher guests in my hot sweaty blazer. Guest of Honour was Mr Tan Gee Paw, ex ACS BOG Chairman. And it’s for those people who did well for their exams+ a few CCAs/Best House! LOL! Wonder why can’t they be like other ACS schools where there is Honours’ Night where students get recognition for their contributions and achievements in their CCAs. Recognition for good exam results should be done on Founders’ Day. Too bad I don’t have anything. I used to go up and collect stuck you know! But Congrats to all my friends who did well. :)

Last day of school: I am so glad. I survived my first year in ACS (International) which had a horrible beginning. Tomorrow I am going for to Puala Ubin for a Scouts EOY camp. Cya.
